I want to tell you about the people who celebrated Christmas for the first time,

fulfilled each other's wishes, and formed a bond.

I want to tell you that the bond is still being cherished by people today
and making the town shine with its light.

And I want to tell you that the town is your home.

We adults who love you with all our hearts have something to tell you
from the bottom of our hearts.

Your home will always be here.
We will be here for you forever.

Queremos contar algo a los niños

La historia, no de la primera Navidad celebrada en Japón,
sino la vida de aquellas personas que la celebraron entonces.

Aceptar nuestras diferencias, cumplir nuestros sueños, así es como se creó este “vínculo”.
Queremos hablaros de ellos, de los que hicieron estos posible.

Ese “vínculo” continúa ahora manteniendo viva nuestra amistad.
El “vínculo” de Yamaguchi, la luz que brilla en nuestros corazones en esta ciudad.

Y queremos que sepáis sobre todo, que ésa es vuestra ciudad, ésa es Yamaguchi.
